Boston was great on Friday. It was absolutely beautiful, absolutely frigid, and I sold something. What a nice way to start off the new year. M. took me out to celebrate with lobster and crab legs, and then we did the mall at Copley Square. I’d been teasing M. that I was an easy wife to have because most things in the mall leave me cold and I’m not forever asking to have this and that. He must have taken that as a challenge, because, um, Williams-Sonoma certainly cured me of that. He spoiled me rotten all night, actually, and I now have new sunglasses, purple sparkling sealing wax, a wax stamp, and the complete works of WtP on CD. Spoiled rotten, I
say.
We went over to the Fetish Flea around noon, and M. had me in the black tight leather dress that I was absolutely convinced was not going to fit. But my jeans have been getting loose, and sure enough, it fit fine. He didn’t make me wear the hood, luckily, though he did clip my hands behind my back and make me carry the bags that way. Someone told him that he had a very cute pull toy, which is probably what I looked like following him around on the leash all day. I was really sad he had to take it off when we left, actually. I love being on his leash.
Our loot is quite impressive, though I kept telling him he didn’t need more things to hit me with. He bought one of Jer’s damn double canes, and I’m sure I’ll be cursing him mightily. Jer, that is. It was great to see him if only briefly. He got a stiff fiberglass cane thing that is going to be awful. I have high hopes for the new single tail, though, as well as a funky new design in a blindfold that I couldn’t see out of at all. Besides, it’s in purple.
Speaking of purple, the very best thing we got is this beautiful cloak from Cloak and Dagger Creations. It’s very purple, even though the picture looks very blue, and has a purple crushed velvet lining in the hood. They hemmed it to fit perfectly, and it’s very warm. It makes me feel pretty and very feminine in it, and I hope to be able to wear it to more places than just kinky events.
Deb‘s blogging round-table event was a great success, and boy did section12.com represent! I think I counted eight of us there. She’s going to post a list of everyone else who attended, and I know there are some new addicting journals in my future. It was really great for us to be able to put faces to names. We had quite a few people who weren’t fellow journalers say hi as well, which was very cool. We weren’t organized enough to get a dinner party together after, and because both my shoulder and leg were hurting me, we came home right after that session finished up.
The house here is fucking frigid after just two days away. You know it’s cold when M. not only lets me put on pajamas, but brings me a robe as well. He’s got the wood stoves going, though, and I whipped up a batch of scones in my new scone pan, which is helping to warm the house, plus make it smell wonderful. We’re slowly getting warm, but even when it’s cold, it sure is good to be back home.
